My 94 B2150 blew it forward out the front and my new B2910 blows it back.I don't notice much difference in comfort between the two.

Here's one for the team at Augusta. They lost a sale. I came real close to buying a 4300. I had a 6 year old Kubota B2150HSD that served me well all along. No problems, no breakdowns. I wanted a newer generation tractor so I looked at Blue, Orange and Green. Liked them all. I have a reputable JD dealer five miles from my place and Kubota 6 miles. I grew up with John Deere, always loved them. But there are tooooooo many quality problems with the 4xxx. And the HST drives very difficult compared to the others. Manager at the JD store was showing me a couple things on the 4300 and, lo and behold, they were broken or stuck. He apoligized and said the shop would fix them. Shook my confidence. I really like the tractor and the layout of the operation. Didn't like the feel of it and the quality. It's a shame. I bought a Kubota B2910HSD at my local dealer who is great. I decided that I didn't want to hassle with the problems of the JD. I feel sorry for all the guys that are experiencing problems and hope they get it taken care of. A tractor should be a fun workhorse, not a pain in the a$# and a constant source of frustation. I am also not saying all JD 4xxx are bad. They are some that will never give a lick of problem to the owners.

Jim, I think in your case chains will be a big help. I live in central Indiana so our snow is not that bad. We do get some big drifts from across the county road at the entrance to our place and I seem to get through it OK, albeit a little slower. My new B2910 that was delivered yesterday has the R4 tires so I will definatly have more bite this winter. I will be interested in seeing how they do.

I use the ball on the drawbar too. I have a solid drawbar mounted to the fram with a little 1 7/8 ball for my small trailer and then have a 2 5/16 ball on my 3 pt. drawbar for my big flatbed and my horse trailer. Just back up and raise it and go. Works nice. I have a little clamp I got at Kubota to keep the 3 pt. drawbar from rotating.

Run it open. Diesels need the heat and low rpms for extended times can hurt. The fuel will not burn completely and was down the cylinder walls. This is why I also have an idle controller in my diesel pickup so when I idle for more than ten minutes say with the A/C or heat on I bump my idle up to 1200rpm from 680 normal idle to help combustion and maintain engine life.

My local TSC does not carry King Kutter yet. I hope they do. I have a 5 foot rotary, 5 foot 3 pt finish and a 3 pt dirt scoop (parked that when I got my loader) all from King Kutter and bought a Quality Farm and Fleet. Good prices and I have not broken anything yet. Rotary is 4 years old, finish is 1 year and scoop is 3 years. I saved a lot of money over major brands and so far it has been a good idea. Attached is picture with bush hog on my B2150. New B2910 coming today!!!

I have a Kubota B2150 that I bought used with 65 hours and a Kubota 60 belly mower. The deck did a great job cutting but got really beat up in the process and I hated having the thing hanging under the tractor. If I used it for only cutting and I had a smooth yard I would have liked it. But I went out and got a King Kutter 60 inch 3 pt deck new for $750 last fall and it's been much more convenient for me. I take implements on and off all the time and working with the loader is better without the belly deck. It's really personal preference and the type of work you do.

I bought a new one late last year when they were on sale. I got mine for $750. 5 ft. finish. It does a good job. Not as nice as my Kubota Belly mower did but it is much more convenient and half the price of some other brands. I figured at $750 I could run it till it falls apart and buy another new one (even at full price) and still have less in it than Kubotas deck. I also have had a 60 rotoray from King Kutter for five years and it has been very reliable, never a problem and a real workhorse.
